Fortun8te Coffee Co. was born from a deep desire to break free from the corporate grind. After being laid off three times, a dream became a reality in the form of a mobile coffee cart that brings quality coffee and a touch of luck wherever it goes.

The name pays homage to the number 8 (八), which holds a special place in Chinese culture. Pronounced "baat" the number sounds similar to "faat" meaning prosperity (發) . This makes the number a symbol of good fortune and success, perfectly aligning with the vision for this venture. And just for more good fortune, the logo depicts the maneki-neko or "beckoning cat" a beloved symbol in the Asian diaspora, often displayed in businesses as a talisman for luck and prosperity. Its raised paw invites positivity and opportunities—ideals I strive to embody on my caffeinated journey.
